Fashion journalist and writer and 3rd Year BA Fashion Journalism student passionate about fashion, culture and how they intersect, smart way of writing about it and all things quirky and original with previous journalistic experience. I started as an Intern/Editorial Assistant and worked my way up to London Correspondent. Writing articles (both for online and print version) about and conducting interviews with jewellery brands (e.g. Bulgari, Shamballa Jewels), designers and models; writing hotel reviews; writing reviews and reports from fashion weeks; setting up interviews; researching the best interviewees; negotiating with celebrity PRs and model agents about interviews/photo shoots; subediting articles
Writing articles for a style and culture magazine (both online and print version) related to culture and style and style stories about interesting people with interesting personal style; in charge of ALVAR’s Pinterest page; in charge of contacting and negotiating with concept, fashion, gallery and museum stores as well as independent bookshops to get the magazine into the stores. For example, I’ve secured the Tate Modern shop to stock the magazine.
Modules: Research Methods (a proposal for final major project for which I will make a printed magazine about niche and fine fragrances as I feel there is a gap in the market), Feature Treatments (creating a portfolio of our own journalism, each piece different with a different tone), Cultural and Historical Studies Dissertation (I will be writing about fashion and ballet, how they influence and inspire each other and why)
