My name is Sara Westermann and I’m currently in Porto (Portugal) workings as a freelance graphic designer with several clients, focusing on concept creation, creative direction, branding and editorial work.
Previously I worked as a senior graphic designer at adidas in Germany. In 2018 I worked at the adidas Brooklyn Creator Farm (Design Lab) in New York, focusing on basketball creative direction. During my time at adidas I had the chance to collaborate with Maison Kitsuné, Golgotha, Hassan Rahim and Us by Night Festival.
In the past I worked for fashion and cultural institutions, with clients such as Adobe, Universal Music, Tracksmith, Inditex, Zara, Oysho, Wolf & Rita, Experimenta Design Biennale, Fête du Graphisme, Cocolia Studio, Folch Studio, Tatabi, Keweke, among others.
Formerly working at Casa da Música, in Portugal, one of the most prestigious concert halls in Europe, where I stayed for close to 8 years as an in-house designer, having the chance to work with Stefan Sagmeister in Casa da Música’s brand identity and creative direction. I was able to explore the concepts of a dynamic brand and work across multiple platforms, acquiring a vast experience in both print and digital media.
Previously I also worked in Experimenta Design Biennale in Lisbon and was a lecturer at Modatex Fashion & Textile School (Citex) in Porto, teaching graphic design and branding applied to fashion and textile.
