Fashion keeps me dedicated. It is my drive, my enthusiasm. I am a highly motivated, creative individual. Able to work successfully in high-pressure situations, I am a dynamic team player always willing to do what is needed and find a solution to a problem. Collaborative, coordinated and passionate, I thrive knowing I am helping the team and making a difference. I have a natural proactive flare and will happily work under my own directions, as well as effectively integrating as part of a team, analysing situations and attempting to pre-empt what will be needed. This makes me an eager aspirant, someone who is known for having a smile on my face.
I am now working now across synthesising the dedicated ASOS production team based in Romania, as well as harmonising the company appearance here in London to ASOS. From different ways of presenting information, to an exciting new interactive social media presence, along side working to better solve practical problems as a company. Seamlessly evolving the way we work, in order to better service the customer. | DAY TO DAY | − Primary contact for all ASOS departments. − Improving sales to 40/50% increase on last year. − Negotiating price and unit sales on a daily basis. − Arranging regular development and sales meetings establishing customer relation. − Securing volume lines to support fashion pieces. − Communicating with the Design team to secure coverage of all customer SKUs maximising sales. − Developing new platforms and content making Fluxe stand apart. − Connecting with both the team in the UK and Romania to update on all potential delays. − Managing delivery dates to ensure production CP. − Sourcing and counter sourcing fabrics to cost. − Calculating and communicating CP for forward order fabrics. − Overseeing the Sales Support, production of OC and PO paperwork in a timely manner.
Supplying women’s woven fashion to high-street leaders and smaller brands, there is continuous opportunity for design and development. A fantastic learning environment, I am constantly able to develop and push my professional skills as part of an immersive and supportive company. Initially hired to support the team in a Design Assistant capacity, I was quickly able to progress. Soon after my appointment I was working as the designer for a range of beachwear at ASOS achieving the highest ever unit sales teamed with an overall 75% sale through for the collection.
Following the loss of a couple of team members to start their own company, I was invited to reinforce the ASOS account. A slight adjustment from solo design work, I was able to sell and anticipate the customer needs as well as designing into them. Subsequent to my appointment, I had managed to assist in settling a turbulent account, as well as turning it into a calm average of improved sales, up 40%. We have since achieved the highest ever company repeats for ASOS as well as a month on month growth, currently peaking as up 50% on last year.
Last month I was lucky enough to spend time supporting the Womenswear Design Team at River Island. This was an exciting opportunity to expand my Design specific experience with a leading high street retailer. Working closely with the Skirt Designer in particular, I was able to design and spec ideas for the coming season as well as researching for mood boards, constructing colour palettes and sourcing trims. DESIGN ? Generating new season colour palettes and inspiration stories. ? Souring and meeting with Trim suppliers. ? Researching for specific lines. ? Editing and selecting research for mood board presentation. ? Research for specific garments and finishes. ? Designing for skirts. ? Design Development. ? Specing my own designs, as well as generating specs packs for other designs. ? Creating mood boards for Design Controller. ? Researching for the Head of Design. ? Spec drawings for new design pack.
Here I was able to really make the trim department my own, expanding contacts and suppliers alongside sourcing and providing new trim for the season. Ensuring it was all in line with the designer vision and studio functionality. Creating research boards for the season based around technique, trim and accessories, I worked as part of a small team on the contemporary line. My role being very hands on, involved in the entire design process from initial research to handing over to the production team. I began on the Victoria Line as an intern and was offered a permanent role. This meant I have had an extensive range of experience including but not limited to: DESIGN ? Creating research boards for the season, including look, woman, mood and inspiration. ? Creating design boards with drawings and intended fabrics. ? Sourcing appropriate and innovative trim for entire collection. ? Creating design specification drawings for the look book shoes. ? Overseeing the ecommerce and sales photo shoot. ? Producing sales presentation for the end of season. PRODUCTION ? Calculating print layouts, including grading for production. ? Specification drawing, front and back, for the entire collection intended for tech packs. ? Colour specifications, including inserting textured fabrics for accurate depiction for sales line sheets. ADMIN ? Organising the send out of the collection to NYFW and VB selections. ? Preparing and tech packs for production hand over including all garment detail. ? Organising flights, transfers and money for team. ? Booking models and rooms for meetings, and set up.
