About me
I hold an MA in English and have a thriving interest in narrative form, spatial theories, videogame narrative, and postmodern and contemporary literature. Being aware of the rapid development of new technologies, I firmly believe in agility and adaptability in the academic field and game development alike! I am excited to see where the analysis of newer forms of text through novel analytic techniques will lead us. Procedural narrative, as part of this development, is especially fascinating to me.

The MA in English at University of Massachusetts, Boston, is a program that allows its students much freedom in determining the focus of their research. Over the course of my MA education in English, I have developed a focus on videogame analysis and development, as well as aesthetic, spatial, and narrative theory. With the help of independent studies, interdisciplinary work between departments, and one study abroad, I turned my MA in English literature into an MA in videogame theory.

"Modern Languages, Cultures, and Economics": The program focuses on philology and culture of languages and gives students a practical and professionally relevant understanding of the countries' cultural and business milieux, which is achieved by a compulsory semester abroad and work placements during their studies. It includes the study of text linguistics, conversation analysis, corpus linguistics, sociolinguistics and pragmatics, 19th- and 20th-century texts, foreign language training, and more. My emphasis was placed on US-American English and Latin American Spanish and their respective literature, culture, and relation.
