Empathy and creative problem solving are fundamentals of UX Design and are skills that come naturally to me. My background in Digital Performance Marketing involved a high degree of analytical thinking and communication. I love UX Design because it allows me to understand the users needs and translate those into business goals. Design gives me the platform to make a difference in this world. Simply put, I care about people.

Mastercard wanted to improve the usability of their Cash Passport app. In this 2.5 week design sprint, our team of 3 UX’ers was tasked with improving the onboarding journey. We simplified the onboarding process, confirmed the user flow with users & highlighted key features that would entice users to use the app.
During this sprint I:
-Conducted 4 user interviews & 10 usability tests.
-Facilitated the design studio with the client.
-Managed the content strategy including copy writing.
-Prototyped through to high-fidelity.

This was my client group project while studying at General Assembly.
CityMaas is an accessible travel app which uses machine learning and crowdsourced data to gather information and give live travel updates according to your accessibility needs. In our 2.5 week design sprint, we needed to find a way to gather that data, and to engage and encourage users to share live travel updates.
Through user research we found key insights on what the user’s wanted and really needed. With these insights we held a Design Studio session with the client, which I facilitated, and as a team we ideated solutions. Then we started designing a way to engage users by using lean user flows to make it easy to add information and using gamification encourage users to share live travel updates. We iterated our design by doing several rounds of usability testing. Going from low-fidelity paper prototypes to eventually a high-fidelity prototype. We created a style guide for an inclusive design which met triple A standard. The final design was one where you could search for routes according to your accessibility needs, and report any issues that you might have come across on your trip. The client loved our inclusive design and used the final design for their MVP.
