I have been an avid fan of all things Hip Hop since as far back as I can remember. Much of my youth was spent living, eating and breathing in all aspects of the culture. Whether it was the intoxicating fumes of spray paint, or the allure of those stuffy, overcrowded youth club cyphers, I always found myself to be a willing participant.
Despite being willing, my skills were never up to par. The desire to partake, has since manifested itself in the stories I write about the finest purveyors of Hip Hop.
My labour of love has found a home in several different publications, in a range of different forms. It could be a think piece about Dave on Trench, or an in depth artist profile on Kano for GRM Daily, and occasionally it might even be a piece on politics and current affairs for independent news outlet Shout Out UK.
More recently, I have been one of the captains of the ship at GRM Daily, specifically tasked with writing and commissioning original editorial content, the fruits of which can be found on the ‘Exclusives’ tab - http://grmdaily.com/exclusives. During my tenure, I’ve started several different columns: The Architects, The Bricklayers, Under The Radar, Essentials and Hidden Gems.
