About me

I would summarise myself as a positive, kind hearted, down to earth and motivated individual. I am full of creative ideas with a strong mind set with a drive to succeed in everything I do, and I never back down from a challenge or settle for less. I am still young and hungry to develop my career and progress through ranks in a creative industry. In my past experiences I've always been involved with creative and digital media from college, to work, to even in my own personal time. In one of my previous roles, I worked as a Media Resource Assistant in one of the biggest federations of secondary schools in South East London. Here I found myself creating/designing newsletters, taking photos and producing videos all for the benefit of promoting the school. My role at first was just to assist the Media Resources Director but when they realised I had an advanced skill set to bring to the table I took on more responsibility to show off these skills. I liaised with teachers to organise photo-shoots to show off some of the activity’s that are carried out within the school. Some of the photos would be used for the school newspapers; I edited these photos on Adobe Photoshop then implemented them into Adobe InDesign where I designed the lay out of the newspapers. I have been using Adobe Suite for a number of years now and also use it in my spare time regularly for freelance projects I work on. With these skills I was able to promote the school with the creative content I had made and just after being there for over a year the school had seen the highest number of applicants it had ever seen in the past five years, which I played a major role in. This role helped me think on my feet and come with creative but efficient ideas rapidly with deadlines to meet. While I was in this role I was also studying a Level 3 Diploma in Creative & Digital Media. Here I learned to advance my skills in Photography, Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop. I learned about aperture, exposure, grain and many more different setting that could enhance my photography skills. I was most of the time shooting in RAW format so when transferring my photos into Adobe Lightroom I had more to work with. For my final project I had to create five different album arts and annotate step by step how I had ended up with the final draft of my artworks. This meant detailed descriptions from the first photo I had taken, all the way down to a step by step guide on how I edited the photos from cropping, colour correcting, layering, filtering and even creating my own fonts for the album arts. This experience later helped me to freelance by creating album arts for up and coming artists.
