hi, I'm Shane, Graphic designer based in both the beautiful London and Bournemouth. I guess as a designer it has always played a vital part in my life since I was young: objects such as lego, cardboard boxes and paints were my canvas and my playground. I would create an entire world or story with my hands. it was in secondary school I found my style and medium of design and courses such as product and graphic design allowed me to develop core values such as form follows function, and composition and layout.
within the field of graphic design, I am most intrigued with strategy-specifically, conceptual thinking. as designers we must think strategically: how can a logo represent a brand’s ethos and values in a way that is meaningful. my approach is simple but yet highly effective. I capture the essence of a brand; reimagining and encompassing the brand's ethos in unique ways is one of the most important parts of my work. I feel strongly about making a design that has passion and intellect, therefore it speaks to the consumer on a conscious or unconscious level.
I'm endlessly inspired by creativity and innovation, design has allowed me as a person to journey onto great paths and hone my skills as a designer and most importantly develop who I am myself. various opportunities for an internship at thinkfarm in London and as a teaching assistant for graphics at a secondary school cemented my desire for continuing my path as a designer.
