About me

SHANIA is a 21 year old indie-pop singer songwriter from London, and recent Sociology graduate (2.1). SHANIA's passion for music developed at an early age and heightened at age 13, when she began learning the guitar, through self teaching herself. Later posting her covers and originals on Instagram and YouTube. Moreover, in her later teen years she began teaching herself the piano and how to produce. At this same time SHANIA began editing the videos and photographs she would post online. SHANIA's unique soft tone has likened her into the same brackets as singers such as Aurora and Sasha Sloan. Over the years, her social media work gained attention from popular radio stations, such as BBC Radio London. This has brought on many opportunities. In 2020, her track Purple(Comedown) was shortlisted as top 25 in Abbey Road Studios Songwriting competition. Her debut EP Bloom was released July 3rd 2020. Lead track Pear was premiered on BBC Radio London with Salma and LionHeartfelt. She later released a house track, UR Type with Martin Badder on Circus Recordings. The track is a growing success and received play on Danny Howard’s BBC Radio 1 as well as on Pete Tongs Dance set.
