Desire, diligence and drive best describe Shaun Flores, a creative who knows no boundaries. Whilst exploring his creative potential in his "Flower Hour" podcast, proposed radio show and newspaper articles; He obtained a Masters Degree and qualified as a journalist with further ambitions to be a PhD candidate.
He is also a skilled public speaker, most notably in his Tedx Talks in 2018 about the education system and in 2022 about masculinity and mental health. As well as being frequently invited to speak at workshops and events on diversity, inclusion, race and culture.
During the height of the pandemic, Shaun's creativity didn't end, the pandemic gave birth to his podcast “Flower Hour”, which speaks to different individuals in attempts to bridge societal gaps, working towards a society that is more inclusive not exclusive. Diversity and inclusivity are not nouns to be described, but verbs to be acted upon.
His confidence, resilience and adaptability have been best shown in his modelling and acting career representing a variety of brands including Papa Johns, Uber, John Lewis and Peloton. Through the range of creative roles undertaken he is being fearless and nothing is beyond his reach.

Through my masters I explored the different theoretical and philosophical approaches to ethnicity and race, including critical race theories and post-colonial approaches and the theories of intersectionality. The focus was on the cultural industries and It was about applying the theories to understand why representations of race and ethnicity take the shape that they do in social media, film and news.
I wrote my dissertation on whether the black panther movie can be understood as a form of black radical politics. It was a comprehensive analytic understanding of the power of media and how the black radical tradition is presented in the current political climate.
