About me

Shihui Yang is a book artist who holds a degree in Book Arts and Design. Trained in London, she is keen to explore the different formats and structure of the book. Whilst in the UK, she has worked with global publishing house, Dorling Kindersley, which saw her creating professional book mock-ups for presentation at international book fairs. Shihui loves to work with her hands, and always finds a way to incorporate hand-made elements in all her projects. She attributes a good book made to starting her day with coffee and a ripe avocado on toast.

• { }{ } consists of five booklets of different quotes with themes: Life, Love, Friendship, Dream, and Simplicity. Using colours to identify the different themes, words are also censored to 'quote' the quotes because, as it is, we are exposed to many things in life, we have to learn how to filter out the good and ignore the meaningless.
