Process Wanting the image of Hackney’s community to be the main focus of the design I went to Hackney to do my own photography. A variety of type lockups to show Hackney’s diversity giving the design a subtle edge and plenty of white space to emphasise the room Hackney has available. Union Jack colour scheme as it represents the multiple nations of Britain. By definition, therefore it is a symbol of diversity and multiculturalism. As is Hackney’s core identity with their inward migration dating back as early as the 18th and 19th centuries.
