The Museum of London displays artefacts of the worlds greatest city from it’s history right through to it’s present. The museum is responsible for over 2,000 000 objects in it’s collections, with 400,00 visitors per year. My duties include: ? Providing highest level of customer service, attending to their requirements to the best of my ability to maximise sales. ? Process shop transactions using an EPOS System, in accordance with the Museum’s cash handling procedures. ? Store shop stock in line with agreed procedure ? Price and barcode stock ready for display in store
BizAsia Showbiz is a news and reporting website that represents the Indian Film Industry, attracting over 20,000 online hits a week. My duties included: ? Interviewing performance artists during promotional events ? Writing specialist features such as, film reviews and birthday dedicated articles ? Writing daily news fillers ? Representing BizAsia by attending Bollywood focused events, in order to expand on media relations and raise reputation of the business ? Producing photographic imagery of interviews and other showbiz events. ? Promoting website through social media platforms.
The London Transport Museum houses the history and journey of the development of London’s Transports since the 1800’s. Catering to the public for all ages, this role requires me to assist to the public from all different ages and backgrounds. My duties included: ? Welcoming visitors and issuing tickets to the museum at the ticket desk ? Providing information and answering questions about exhibit ? Selling publications and souvenirs from the museum shop ? Staffing public areas and monitoring security ? Assisting with the cloakroom ensuring safety of visitor’s belongings.
YPlan is a small, yet fast growing start up app that advertises and sells tickets for the latest events happening in London, Edinburgh, New York, San Francisco and Las Vegas in a quick and convenient way. This rewarding role within the Operations team allowed me to develop my time management and communication skills, as well as my flexibility on a tight schedule working on over 100 events on a daily basis. My duties included: ? Conducted image research and editing for each and every event using Adobe Photoshop to for the app’s visual criteria ? Ensured licensing agreements for each image was met, avoiding copyright trouble of any kind ? Using Gmail and Skype, I was able to liaise with different states and supporting them with their own events ? Designing image content for YPlan’s marketing team, for their successful weekly e-mail marketing campaigns.
