I'm an Animation Director based in London!
I have a strong background in editorial animation and children's education, with a big soft spot for frame by frame animation.
I take proposals from start to finish under tight deadlines, and I have been working freelance since January 2018.
I've previously worked in-house for news journalism, children's publishing and editorial.
Projects
- BrewDog Black HeartThere's a new stout in town, and it's demanding your attention. The video introduces BrewDog's newest addition to the family, with a brief of bringing the history of the product to life through animation. This project was in collaboration with the team at Shoreditch Design Studio, and embraces both 2D and 3D animation to realistically represent the product and sit harmoniously alongside the brands advertising campaign.
- Stephen Fry - Mythos"Step into Stephen Fry’s richly colourful world of magic, mayhem, monsters and maniacal gods in MYTHOS: THE ILLUSTRATED STORY . . ." For the release of Stephen Fry's 'MYTHOS: THE ILLUSTRATED STORY' I was asked to bring the book to life as part of the advertising campaign ahead of its release, giving subtle life to the pages that complimented the physical edition of the book.
- Penguin Random House Video Asset Collection'sThese animations are a small sample of a wider collection of assets created for the Random House's video asset library. With the company expanding it's online output and focus on video, I was asked to produce a series of short, interchangeable templates that could be used across multiple platforms. The collections include transitional clips, video introductions and title slides.
- Greenpeace: Plastic Oceans"Researchers have estimated that up to 12 million tonnes of plastic ends up in the ocean every year – that’s the equivalent of a rubbish truck every single minute. But how does plastic get into the ocean?" This is the third project I have worked on with Greenpeace, in this case creating animations from their design teams illustrations to be used across their social platforms.
- Vulture FestivalAfter a brief (virtual) hiatus, Vulture Festival landed on Hollywood Roosevelt once again for the fourth year in 2021. This year, the festival attracted leading actors, directors, dancers, reality stars, and a dog named Bosch. I worked with the Proud Robinson creative agency to produce and art direct video outputs for the big screens, totems situated on the event site, and festival guides to be displayed digitally throughout the week.
- Asana - Anatomy of WorkAsana's Anatomy of Work report needed a fresh new animation to launch on social media. The visual identity of the animation was led by assets provided by the Asana design team - and then stats from the report were written into the project via text animation in accordance to their style guidelines.
