Shaped and launched two of the most popular BBC apps- Bitesize and iPlayer Kids. Both were targeted at the corporation’s priority audience: the underserved youth market.
• Commissioned research into consumer behaviour and the revision landscape, ensuring learnings were reflected in the phasing and creative execution of the Bitesize campaign.
• Championed the Bitesize strategy and influenced decision making at senior level to secure the best possible support and opportunities for the app launch.
• Exceeded the download target of 300,000 well ahead of schedule and achieved 90% of this within the first two weeks of the campaign. The app jumped from 70th place on the app store to 3rd a day after campaign launch, and trended nationally.
• Aligned the iPlayer Product and Marketing teams to launch the first iPlayer Kids app, overseeing branding, marketing and product development.
