CPMS is a Project Management company working with clients within the Railway sector managing their projects, providing business consultancy and providing resources. I have worked with CPMS for a number of years starting as a Team Organiser and helping with Document Control, then moving to the position of Office Manager and now HR Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Employee relations, including new staff inductions and day to day company communication
- Performance management
- Learning and Development, including booking and arranging of courses and tracking competencies
- Manage and implement all Perks and Benefit schemes such as Cycle to Work, Childcare Vouchers and other outsourced platforms such as Perkbox and Private Healthcare
- Recruitment (all areas)
- Carry out the monthly payroll on Sage50
- Manage the CPMS Pension scheme
- Review and update the company policies and forms in line with current legislation (Attend employment law seminars)
- Produce monthly HR reports covering areas such as; staff turnover, absence, training and salaries
- Prepare the company for the yearly RISQS audit (Health, Safety, Environment and Quality capabilities for Rail) and provide support to Office Manager for ISO audit
- Line Manager to the Office Manager and HR Support Assistant, training and supporting individuals in their role

Responsibilities:
- Management of all staff and company documentation
– along with implementation of systems to support organisational growth and improve ways of working
- Organisation of team building events on a large scale and social events for both Summer and Christmas.
- Answer the office phone and deal with any enquiries that came in from clients
- Greet clients when they arrive at the office
- Management of the office supplies and staff supplies; ordering stationary, equipment and PPE when required
- Updated the company website with current news from the projects and any charity events - Along with the website I also updated our Facebook and twitter feed’s
- Arranging and booking training courses for staff
- Supported the Operations director with the yearly RISQS audit
