Working closely with the design team and coms team to create a unified brand identity across the restaurants through the design of brand assets, merchandise, menus, collateral illustrations, newsletters and social media content. Also assisted on photoshoots as a food stylist.
Building upon G.O.D.’s successful brand image as Hong Kong’s favourite lifestyle and gift shop, I was given the freedom to undertake my own product design project and create a new and unique product. I designed the ‘Dim Sum Table’ pattern which is now used and sold as 10 different products online and in-store. The placemat design sold out twice in the first 2 months of production.
The brief was to create a textless 9 panel short story for young adults to be displayed at the London Book Fair. Created a story based on male depression, depicting the mundane realities that plague a person suffering with a mental health disorder.
Gained valuable insight into the illustration and design world of London, and how a boutique agency operates. Undertook responsibilities such as writing articles for social media pages Instagram, Facebook and Wordpress blog. Organisational skills as well as customer service, working with clients on the phone and via email.
A panel of judges made up of Penguin Random House art directors and guest judges picked 30 shortlisted students out of a record-breaking 2,310 entries down to a shortlist of 30, and 3 overall winners. The brief was to reimagine the much loved children's book Wonder by R.J Palacio. Sian McKeever was awarded 1st prize.
