Similar to the taster events, I helped with the preproduction on site and organised volunteers throughout August to assist the build and participate in interactive instillations.
Lost is an interactive art event that encourages its viewers to participate, create and become the artists themselves. I work with the artists and volunteers to ensure the over all experience of the night comes together, As well as making sure each instillation is using the space to it's best advantages. This involves the basic get in and get out, assisting construction for various artists installations, building frames for dressing rooms and an interactive hallway (forest themed and entirely bubble wrapped), general decorations, kept paint areas topped up throughout the event, welcoming the public, explaining the event with a light brief, getting them to sign waivers, keep the que upbeat and talkative while waiting to get in, dealing with cash flow for deposits on overalls, Health, safety and security assessments and implementation for various instillations. Generally painted, secured, cleaned, and perfected the event space for the awaiting public.
Joining the Requiem Live team in February to answer emails quickly developed into helping plan the strategy, location, and theatrical aspects of the game and experience that is Zombie Earth. I was in charge of all of the acting volunteers, their roles, briefing and training them for the events. On the night of the events I was responsible for managing teams of volunteers at a host of action zones throughout the city, while also ensuring participating customers where safely travelling between the different locations.
