An online and print magazine written by Women of Colour and non-binary people of colour for all to explore. On-going freelance writer for gal-dem.com. Experience includes pitching to editors and carefully constructing original copy for approval. Collaborate with the team to produce a strategic direction, particularly to ensure that articles will fit the ethos of gal-dem and increase CTR. Produce a well-articulated and engaging piece of work under a strict deadline, which is adaptable to gal-dem’s platform. Work alongside the designers to produce suitable artwork.
Successfully established a new tone of voice to ensure brand consistency across the board. Alongside the designer, we worked to redesign and relaunch the weekly newsletter which saw a 30% increase in open/CTR. Produced both internal and external comms and worked with the CRM manager to map out the customer onboarding journey. Regularly worked closely with the designer to ensure projects moved from concept to completion. Worked alongside the partnership team and various other stakeholders to produce partnership announcements and related communication. Produced brochures, letters, emails and articles to optimise member and prospective member engagement. Owned and managed the CMS and scheduled content, as well as conducting and transcribing interviews.
Facilitated ideas to increase sales and engagement and maintained relationships with prospective members. Brought in a minimum daily figure of 8k in sales conversion. Worked alongside the Membership Director to agree on annual sales and marketing plan.
