My name is Sofia and I am a freelance illustrator born and grown up in Carrara. Since I was a child I spend my days drawing and when I was 6 years old I won my first painting competition.
After an high school path of artistic studies, I moved to Florence to attend the graphicdesign class at the Art Academy. In those years I began to focus to the world of illustration. Now, I live in Carrara working as freelance illustrator for italian and international magazine, publishing house and graphic studios. In my previous work experiences, I have ranged in various fields: from content creation for social media to page layout, from printing to editorial illustration, which is what I am
doing full-time at the moment.

During my two years at Isia in Urbino, I studied: animation, graphic layout, illustrated children's book design, illustration for publishing, book cover illustration, screenwriting, and printing techniques, and I graduated with a thesis on animated video clips by producing animation for an emerging Italian music group.
