About me
My name is Sofia Picciuto and I am a Venezuelan Illustrator based in London, United Kingdom. I like to incorporate subtle textures and bold colours into my illustrations. I also enjoy being flexible enough to work in a variety of styles and creating diverse characters, often emphasising my personal experiences and heritage. My inspiration comes from family, music, pop culture, meeting people and everyday scenes. My clients include VENenIN (Venezolanos en Inglaterra) and The Poetry Cafe.

Breakfast at 2pmHappy New Year everybody! hope you had lovely holidays and still taking care of each other... So, we're in lockdown again in the UK, not a very good starting point for 2021, I'm having my breakfast at 2pm, dinner at 10pm, snacks at 3am until finally going to sleep at 5am, and spending more than 3h on my mobile... Self-initiated Editorial ProjectThis was a self-initiated project, which consists on a editorial illustration about the BBC’s article about the Covid-19 impact on music venues and musicians plea to support the live music industry. The concept for this illustration is inside an empty music venue, with just a light on illuminating a microphone standing alone, along with four ‘cancelled’ concert posters. • Empty London Underground train
Empty London Underground trainI used to wake up at 4am to go my first job and always took the first train at 5am. There were days that the train was almost empty and I would find myself sitting alone. At first it was a bit scary but interesting, because I'd never seen the underground being so empty.... everyone's used to see it very packed. So, I did this Illustration a few months back, based on a picture that I took in one of those days.
