2:1 Graphic Design Graduate, with previous Academic Qualifications consisting of a Foundation Degree in Graphic Design, BTEC National Diploma in Fashion Design and 13 A-C GCSE Grades, currently studying Level 4 Visual Merchandising at the Fashion Retail Academy. With beliefs that education and knowledge controls access to Opportunity and advancement, I apply oneself in a mature manner, dedicated and driven to succeed. Having a creative mind with artistic flair, allows me to confidently thrive when taking a design brief from start, researching and gathering visuals for mood boards right through to the initial ideas being developed further to create the finished outcome. Knowledge of colour theory, layout, composition and typography whilst paying close attention to detail were all skills gained through education. Skilled in Visual Merchandising and Styling, Textiles, Graphics and Communication, Freehand and Digital Illustration and CAD. Proficient with the Adobe Suite; Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign and the Microsoft Office Package.
With career aspirations of working in the Fashion Industry, the work experience gained through previous Retail Employment has prepared me to pursue a career in the creative field, with first hand experience, knowledge and skills required to prosper. Gaining extensive communication skills through delivering great customer service to a diverse customer base, whilst being aware of the brands products sold and their customer profile, required keeping up to date with the latest fashion trends.
I love fashion, how it is inspired by art, music, history and culture, regularly taking trips to the museums, exhibitions, fashion stores and travelling to different parts of the world keeps my mind open, fresh and up to date.
