My passion for photography stems from my multicultural background. Interacting with people of different nationalities exposed me to the reality that how I lived wasn't the only way to live. Learning this at a young age made me keen to capture people's lives and prospective and I found photography to be the perfect medium. Photography has always been an important way for me to process the world in a conceptual way. I was a carer for my mother for over two years and I believe that this had made me more empathetic about people and their struggles in life, which I try to replicate in my photography. Beside my time as a carer I began to write romantic poetry, which allowed me to create scenarios and stories that emotionally implored people. I had a feeling of duty to write about topics that would relate to a mass audience.
In the last few years I’ve been working with fashion and creating my own shoots, shooting different people from different nationalities. I find excitement choosing the right locations to compliment the styling I’ve chosen for each particular shoot. Every shot you see in my portfolio has been directed only by me but I’m ready to take the next step into the fashion world.
2017 was a fruitful year for me and my development as a photographer and stylist, after spending the early part of the Summer in Berlin doing a internship at DADDY Magazine, I saw how a vibrant and fresh magazine was run. Unfortunately I wasn't in Berlin for long but my most notable achievements at DADDY was being assigned for the as photographer for the Black Lives Matter Demo.
