About me

Hi ! I’m Sophie , a illustrator and designer! I am currently working as a Studio designer for a wholesale company. I graduated in 2023 with a first class degree in Illustration and Animation from UCA Canterbury. My illustration work is playful , experimental and bright. I am particularly interested in documenting the ‘everyday’ and capturing sometimes overlooked moments in life. I especially love to illustrate food. I use a variety ways to make my work including but not limited to screen printing , risograph and collage.

• The Korea DiariesA project from my third year at university, ‘The Korea Diaries’ is a interactive publication based on my travels to South Korea. The project involved 3 finished map illustration, a finished passport sized publication and a small knitted bag to carry the publication in.

Working in the cafe of a creative environment has enriched my creative practice as I frequently required to have a knowledge about the gallery and it’s shop, alongside my main role as a waitress. My role also entails training younger staff me members , organising and handling stock and cooking and presenting food. This job role requires me to be organised and work well under pressure.
