Muddy Stilettos is the ultimate 'urban guide to the countryside' - an online magazine that talks directly to fun-loving women living outside London. As Editorial Assistant, I visit local lifestyle businesses (pubs, theatres, hotels, ect) to find out what makes them unique and form an opinion in a written review which maintains a conversational tone. I also conduct research for new and engaging content on a range of topics from the best things to do in the area for the popular 'What's On' guides to on-brand products for shopping features. All editorial and newsletter content is then proof read and edited by me. Another vital part of my role is implementing SEO strategies on features and pages to optimise readership. This is enhanced by social media where I share all content as well as managing the Instagram account (which I have organically grown to 12,000 followers). Imagery is always at the forefront of my mind as I oversee the sourcing and editing of pictures used to illustrate features and create a glossy look for the website.

My role here involved writing profiles for local businesses and entries for their upcoming events and special offers. I also curated and wrote content for themed newsletters which were the main form of communicating with readers.
