About me

Sophie has always enjoyed being creative. She developed an ambition to follow the Graphic Design route from a visit to Clarks, where she met some of the Graphic Design team working there. She has always enjoyed a combination of digital and traditional techniques to add more of a personal and a hands on approach to her designs. By using traditional methods, her design layout consideration has developed and she thinks more of the design as a blank canvas awaiting a grid formation.   Book JacketsA Personal Project that redesigned the book jackets of "Beautiful Disaster", "Walking Disaster" and "Beautiful Wedding" by Jamie McGuire.
• The Beloved SystemA selection of the 40 page broadsheet newsprint that was created using birth dates from students Graduating from Graphic Design 2018 at UWTSD. The print is all about how we rely on a system to find information quickly. Normally the Dewey Decimal System. There is a group story created by the students birth dates as well within the print. All prints were completed by the traditional wood- blocking technique.
• Imprinted StoriesA Personal Project that shows that all hands tells stories, some are more hidden then others and others are more easier to tell.
• 20 ImagesDuring everyday routines we miss the art that is in right in front of our noses, including natural and man-made artworks.
• Repackaging DesignRedesigning Bridge Farm Cider's Apple Juice to bring it into the modern era but still keeping the Farm style. (Personal Project)
• Coffee GrindA branding project exploring the application of design onto products to sell the brand to customers in Swansea.
