I'm a recent graduate from Falmouth University with an MA in Illustration, a published author (check out my novel 'Unprotected' on the Retreat West website and Amazon), a pattern cutter, designer and adult education tutor. Currently working on a collection of printed acrylic interior wall art, illustrated lighting, wall tiles and jewellery.

• The Folk-Tale projectI'm experimenting with creating semi-abstract background in watercolour and then adding figures and detail with pen and ink, to create strange, haunting images reminiscent of Folk Tale and myth. My aim is to write a re-working of a folktale and create an illustrated book, very much not for children!

  Shadow drawings - a new concept in interior artPart of my MA final project, I print my delicate hand drawn line drawings on large acrylic sheets, and mount them five centimeters away from the wall, allowing the ambient light to cast an ever changing shadow on the wall. The UV printing is water and weather proof, creating a beautiful piece which lives.
• The arrival - pen and ink illustrationI'm an avid audio book reader - or do I say listener? Whichever it is, I listen to a lot of books, and recently was completely captivated by 'The Mercies' by Kiran Millwood Hargrave. Set in the island of Vardø, North Norway, it weaves a tale around a freak storm in 1610 which drowned most of the male population, throwing the surviving women back on their own devices, going against the gender norms of the time.
