I began working in the clothing and apparel industry as early as I could and have had a focus on developing my career within the industry ever since. I have developed skills within fashion and sportswear through my studies at university and my work. I understand the importance of representing a company ideology and am confident working amongst a team. I have always had a passion for the clothing industry and love following trend analysis. I have a strong sense of style which is well informed by constant industry research.
Although I have not followed the usual path of developing experience as a stylist, I have been chosen by the UK’s leading surf brand as their stylist for the past year. Working within the headquarters and always showing an interest in the creative on goings of the business Finisterre saw potential in me and gave me the opportunity.
I have had the solo responsibility of styling their location shoots for the last year and their studio e-commerce shoots. As a small brand Finisterre have small teams and during the time I have spent working on their shoots I have been the only stylist working without assistants. Through this it has given me the confidence to work under high pressure and take on a great deal of responsibility. I’ve also been equipped with the skills needed to multi task within a busy team through organising, prepping and dressing four or more models whilst shooting on location.
