Hello! I'm Sophie, a freelance animator and creative with three years of industry experience. I love breathing life into creative briefs through use of dynamic 2D animation, motion graphics and character animation. My creative experience spans corporate, charity and commercial projects and also extends to design and illustration.

- UNESCO - Internet For TrustThis film was the opening VT for an event hosted by UNESCO in Paris, 2023. The graphics were floated in an augmented style around the spoken word artist using hologauze - a thin fabric used as a projection medium. One gauze was in front and one behind, created a parallax effect which makes the film feel very immersive. My role on this project was storyboarding and creating the graphics along side the art director and also assisting on shoot.
- OVO Energy, Grid Of The Future - Interactive AnimationI was commissioned to create an animated illustration for the energy company, OVO. This was an isometric line illustration showing which sustainable sources our energy can come from and how it will flow around the grid. This animation also had an interactive element. A viewer touch the 'buttons' and a text box fly out would reveal more information about each section. This animation was exhibited at an expo, tiled across nine large touch screens.

During my 2.5 years at Giggle I tackled diverse projects — from large-scale LED show graphics to charity animations, corporate edits and motion graphics. Working frequently on live events, I learnt to work swiftly, collaboratively and efficiently. Each day at Giggle brought such variety, I could be animating a short film's credit sequence in the morning and creating show graphics for a corporate event in the afternoon. The small company environment meant I wore many hats and accrued experience taking projects from start to end.

During my time at Leeds Arts I loved exploring new creative paths. I experimented a lot with paper, creating 3D models from a 2D medium. I also enjoyed exploring background art for animation, creating 2D and 3D backgrounds collaboratively with my class mates.
I was also lucky enough to attend countless talks from industry professionals and attend animation festivals every year. These interactions with the industry formed the pillars that my career rests on today.
