About me
Accomplished highly creative designer and confident visual communicator. I like to take my UX expertise and blend it with some creativity, resulting in beautiful, but functional, playful designs.
Projects
  • SØSTER Magazine
SØSTER MagazineSØSTER magazine was produced for my Final Major Project. I saw a gap in the market for a female centric publication that wasn't destructive, or encouraged women to judge themselves and each other on intelligence and wit, rather than the way the look. The content included; interview with co-founder of All Walks Beyond the Catwalk and fashion activist, Caryn Franklin; photoshoot directed and styled by me and collaborating with a make-up and prosthetics artist and photographer, articles about sub
  • Self branding
Self brandingA rebranding project for myself, to express my style through my logo, website and business card. Marbling was something I wanted to play around with and thoroughly enjoyed my day of getting messy with inks, taking these physical experiments through to digital and finding a complementing font to go with it.
  • Cloth House Illustrations
Cloth House IllustrationsSupplied a series of seven large format illustrations for window signage to communicate their moving store. Cloth House asked for loose, Quentin Blake styled illustrations of people carrying their stock to the new shop. I have also had some work experience working with the online director at their head office.

Working for a start-up enables me to dip in and out of lots of jobs that need doing, these include creating content for adverts across social, blogging, creating artwork for brand collateral (illustrations and graphics), designing and creating artwork and content for the weekly newsletters that I send, managing Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest and creating ad campaigns. What I love about working here is that my ideas are taken on board and I can get involved in any aspect at the company.

At the Arts University of Bournemouth, I studied and graduated with a First Class Honours in fashion communications. This course taught me a huge amount about Graphic Design, not specifically fashion either. Here I learnt how to use the Adobe Creative Suite, about Graphic Design and collaboration. The project I am most proud of is my Final Major Project called SØSTER, this project allowed me to create an entire magazine, direct photoshoots, write articles, interview Caryn Franklin, create artwork and illustrations and design the layout of the whole magazine, I loved this!
