About me
As a dynamic, independent and creative thinker, I feel comfortable in a range of environments. My burning passion is to tell stories that matter and to help those excluded from society, provoking people to change their thinking with the hope of advocating policy change within government through pressure. Key concerns of mine are social injustice, environmental issues and current affairs, with a strong focus on the concepts of truth and illusion and how to deconstruct mainstream stereotypes of normality. Studying social anthropology allowed an understanding of cultural nuances and the global range of social, cultural and political life. It is vitally important for the progress of the planet that these concepts are considered more broadly among the public and within governments since the world seems to be becoming more fragmentary. The best way to achieve this goal is by being part of conscious media, campaign organisations or charities. Being involved in any of these organisations, working in any capacity and constantly learning how I can achieve my goals is my current focus as a recent graduate. Film interweaves seamlessly into these passions of mine. The visual ways that colour, framing, speed, script and location evoke feelings and emotions is an incredibly impactful way to provoke thinking, tickling preconceived notions of normality. I'm self-motivated, an incredibly quick learner, passionate, adaptable and personable.

Graffiti Art in Palestine: Can Aesthetic Moments Effect Change?“We live in a world of suffering in which evil is rampant, a world whose events do not confirm our Being, a world that has to be resisted. It is in this situation that the aesthetic moment offers hope” (John Berger 1985) Aesthetics has continuously gained popularity in popular discourse, yet its understandings are probably less well traced. Its history is as old as Art but more recently John Berger conceptualises aesthetics in poignant terms. An aesthetic moment, for Berger, is a sense of being

The Charlotte Ball Foundation is in the initial stages of development. Founded by my step-mum and I it will be a charitable organisation that helps family members of those affected by suicide. Specific focus will be on holistically supporting siblings in the category of young people of those who have decided to die. A family friend’s experience of her daughter Charlotte’s suicide inspired and drove this passion-based project to materialise. We all see it as a way to shine Charlotte’s bright spirit and bring light to young sibling survivors of suicide. • Communication skills • Independent research and organisation • Passion

In the forthcoming issue 2 of Raw Forms magazine my article “Hope and Identity in Palestine: Can Aesthetic Moments of Hope Effect Change?” will be published. The essay article weaves academic concerns of aesthetics within the national and international graffiti art movements in Palestine. It’s informed, educational and provocative, aiming to bring the conflict in Palestine to attention in a unique way. Drawing from undergraduate research and interviews with Palestinian activists I learnt the vitality of voice and positioning when writing for publications. • Meeting deadlines • Bringing a voice to an issue • Interview experience

     - Manchester, United Kingdom
Studying Social Anthropology has given me a broad and deep cultural understanding and appreciation of the many ways people in communities and societies symbolically construct meaning to their lives. The modules I took range from 'Magic, Science and Expertise', an abstract course comparing Western 'rationale' science to 'Magical Thinking' and belief systems elsewhere, to a critical anthropological study of 'Humanitarianism and Development Aid', to an anthropological approach to visual arts and visual academia in 'Memory, Vision and Senses'. Reading Social Anthropology has stretched and expanded my mind whilst breathing organisation, critical thinking, a methodical and structured approach to writing and the freedom of thinking creatively around pensive and profound questions.
