Achievements Working closely with the student body and the institution as a whole - I was responsible for the rise in participation in our annual elections. Participation grew 29% in 2017 to become our most engaging elections to date with 35% of the student populace voting. Part of my mandate for the past 2 years was to diversify the students’ unions offering at Ravensbourne and take it away from being a glorified events company. Under my presidency we’ve launched two successful schemes to do just that, Fund Me & MarketPlace Fund me applications increased by 120% up from 45 in 2017 to 99 in 2018 Key responsibilities - ​Promote​ ​representation,​ ​activities,​ ​welfare,​ ​development​ ​and​ ​participation within​ ​the​ ​Union​ ​and​ ​Institution. - Work​ ​to​ ​increase​ ​opportunities​ ​for​ ​students​ ​to​ ​get​ ​involved​ ​with​ ​the​ ​Students’​ ​Union. - Support​ ​and​ ​coordinate​ ​the​ ​activities​ ​of​ ​the​ ​Executive​ ​Officers​ ​and​ ​ensure​ ​that​ ​all officers​ ​attend​ ​the​ ​various​ ​Institution​ ​committees​ ​they​ ​sit​ ​on. - To​ ​provide​ ​leadership​ ​to​ ​the​ ​Students’​ ​Union​ ​Executive​ ​Committee​ ​and​ ​to​ ​ensure​ ​that elected​ ​members​ ​fulfil​ ​their​ ​duties​ ​and​ ​responsibilities​ ​for​ ​the​ ​proper​ ​governance​ ​of Ravensbourne​ ​Students’​ ​Union​ ​(RSU). - To​ ​work​ ​closely​ ​with​ ​the​ ​Students’​ ​Union​ ​Coordinator​ ​or​ ​equivalent​ ​to​ ​manage​ ​the budget​ ​strategy​ ​of​ ​the​ ​RSU​ ​and​ ​ensure​ ​that​ ​value-for-money​ ​is​ ​obtained.
