Born on the small island of Cyprus, I've always been one to look for a way of breaking the norms. Armed with an analytic mind but a creative spirit, and an enormous appetite for learning, studying Philosophy seemed the perfect choice for me in university. So in 2006 I moved to London and found my true home in this amazing, multi-faceted city.
Graduating in 2009 with a First Class degree from the London School of Economics, the possibilities seemed endless. My brother at the time was starting a tech business, and I wanted to help him as best as I could at the most crucial time. So I took over the Marketing of PeoplePerHour.com for 2 years, solely creating and managing Google Adwords accounts of 2-3K monthly budgets. I then moved to BSkyB in a Digital Marketing role for Sky Arts, working around specific shows and re-designing and re-vamping the website.
In 2013 I started my own business SNAZZY. Snazzy is the London-based statement accessories brand that celebrates culture diversity, tradition and artisan craftsmanship. By working with skilled artisans in an ethical partnership to make our beautiful products, we aim to encourage people to #chooseartisan and “buy better, waste less”. We use hand-woven traditional fabrics that promote the culture of particular regions and tribes in Morocco and India in addition to traditional leather (naturally tanned and dyed) or salvaged luxury leather from excess productions. Snazzy is a proud advocate of the fashion revolution movement.
I'm now at the stage where I am looking for new exciting projects. Having learned an incredible amount from running my own business, I am keen on bringing this knowledge to new projects on a part-time or freelance basis. I know firsthand the challenges of growing a company through innovative and alternative marketing strategies, and I'd like to implement my knowledge at a bigger scale.
