Work history

Product Manager

Theprintlabs Ltd

Jan 2011
  • The 5+ years of work experience in the media industry have been focused on driving a team of designers and developers to meet the business proposition and build digital products. I oversaw the entire digital product lifecycle, from consulting clients and scoping the project, to writing and revising the specifications and finally to the development and deployment phases. As a digital project manager I have been growing my skills on web technologies building a workable knowledge of PHP, SQL, Web Servers, Linux administration, Javascript, CSS. I have been working with complex distributed WordPress installs. I also developed a basic knowledge of ObjectiveC, Cocoa and Java. The multiskilled experience has led to the definition of a whole digital publishing strategy that is now running products. Il manifesto could expand the audience of paid users through a variety of devices and reading habits, and is performing a YoY growth of 15% on digital channels. The 500,000 monthly active users across apps and websites recently reached a peak of 45% of the revenue breakdown, and the new apps contributed in strengthening the brand and the audience retention. Il manifesto global has been the opportunity to consult the publisher not only on technology and design, but also to develop a plan and execute a strategy for a national newspaper to build an international audience with an english language magazine. Il manifesto global is now live on the web and will release apps and web apps in the next few weeks. I have been working on the editorial plan, the original story commissioning, the translation workflow and the production process. Il Fatto Quotidiano moved from PDF replica editions on mobile devices to HTML based digital editions, growing the product offering to connect the web business model with the paper one. Their 30,000 monthly active users on the mobile platform today have doubled during the last two years.
