About me
Cultural Curator | Archive Enthusiast | Researcher of Bulgarian Heritage
I hold a degree in BA Culture, Criticism, and Curation from Central Saint Martins, and since graduating, I have immersed myself in both commercial and public arts and cultural spaces. My passion for archives and publications continues to deepen, with a focus on risograph printing and other publication-making mediums that allow me to explore and communicate cultural narratives in innovative ways.
At the heart of my work lies an ongoing exploration of my Bulgarian heritage. I am actively compiling collections of postcards, family letters, and personal archives that uncover untold stories about communication within socialist Bulgaria. Through this personal journey, I’ve been able to investigate the evolution of letter writing and unravel complex familial histories, bringing to light secrets that shape my understanding of identity and culture.
Previous projects, such as my zine Nadejda, which spotlighted hidden gems of Bulgarian printed media from Soviet-era theater pamphlets to early modernist publications, remain central to my practice. In 2020, my exhibit with Serdika Gallery, Sofia, featured a collection of Bulgarian Embroidered Sleeves, which evolved into a national campaign on Bulgarian embroidery, including TV and radio interviews. This project increased the cultural and material value of these historical pieces, underscoring the enduring significance of Eastern European art and tradition.
Today, I continue to bridge Eastern European history and culture with contemporary audiences, often through archival research, curatorial work, and publication. I’m passionate about fostering collaborations with institutions, creatives, and researchers who share an interest in archives, curation, and the preservation of cultural histories.
Let’s connect and explore how we can bring fresh perspectives and meaningful projects to life.
