Stella B is a multi-disciplinary Artist who is connecting with people and shifting mindsets by shattering constructs built up within a normalised culture. Primarily through Spoken Word.
Her fully embraced African roots and heritage form her desire to awaken minds to break free from ideals that limit the expansion of society. Her artwork is for widening the point from the edge of the page to the margin line so those people who are placed there become central to their written story.
Stella B is changing the narrative through the use of multi media; a mixture of poetry (spoken word), Photography, Film, Dance and Music.
Her current project is an exploration of dreams and ambitions. Where / who designs the pathways taken to reach goals that are set based on the limits of our environment.
Beauty Wears Many Masks is her first Directed Poetry Film produced by IBUKA films. It drops 1st December 2017.
