I was a Christmas temp in the reservations and promotions office to assist the team through their busy Christmas period. My role was heavily admin based: once a reservation was made, I would use Excel to log in deposit amounts across nine venues and then create confirmation sheets to send out to each client. My customer service skills were utilised and enhanced when calling clients to confirm their food and drinks pre-order, refund deposits and sign people up to our pub quiz from the waiting list. I used Mail Chimp weekly to keep our mailing list up to date, made notes of all voicemails daily, comprised emails to send out to the promotions team for all nine venues to ensure everyone was up to date with our online reviews and amount of guests per week.
