About me
I have just graduated from Arts univercity Bournemouth, I studies fashion design but focused my degree on menswear and textiles. I am emailing to ask if you have any internships available and if would consider me an applicant for a possible junior position at your company. I love you brand and I have been following your work for a few years. Your brand has been a big inspiration for me. I strongly believe my skills and approach to design sits well with your brand values. Your authenticity and rebellious street style really resonates with me, and my overall aesthetic speaks the same visual language as your brand DNA, bringing a strong understanding of menswear and contemporary design. During my time at university I have learned how to fully realise a project, from research and design, to sampling and producing final products. During my time at university I experimented with many aspects of menswear design, which included fabric, treatments, coatings, textile developments, deconstruction, cut, and construction. I also worked with knit and indigo dyes, pushing the boundaries and exploring how far I could go whilst looking at the future of denim and at the same time understanding its past. I really enjoyed being hands on with the fabrics and using them in new and innovative ways. Being sustainably conscious is really important and has led me to creative diverse outcomes. I found exciting new ways to treat and use the material, which I really enjoyed and would like to expand further, by experiencing this on a commercial level. I have a strong understanding and skill for the, cut, fit and manufacturing process of garments and see the importance of this when designing. A balance of functionality and design is always at the forefront of my aesthetic. Using my experience in pattern cutting, both by hand and digitally, I work with digital software like Lectra modaris and Clo 3D alongside drape to create and prototype original design. I also work with additional softwares, such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, when designing, creating tech packs and specification sheets.I enjoy deconstructing and reconstructing garments to get dynamic silhouettes paired with raw and rugged textures, and I am always curious of where the limits lie with fabrics and garment, and how far an idea can be pushed. I am design driven and passionate about the work I do and want to keep expanding my skills as a designer. The idea of working in a collaborative environment where we have creative freedom really excites me.I am ambitious, motivated and dedicated, and I will always work hard to meet the requirements of a brief, while also having fun with the process. We must be strong, we must be tough, we must be experimental, edgy and new. But we also must be kind, caring, thoughtful and considerate. We all should drive into the world and find out as much as we can about ourselves and our surroundings, without damaging what we see. Be bold and make a statement, shout out to the world who you are but think about what you are saying. The choices we make and the things we buy have a greater impact than we might first think. No animal should be harmed for the sake of a style.

My FMP collection made in Clo 3DFor my FMP collection I used the Clo 3D software to full realise and render my garments. Bringing in my own textiles, fabrics and knit on to the software to create a unique textured collection. Due to Covid-19 I was unable to fully constructed my collection as making had to come to a stop once lock down started, therefore I moved my collection to this digital plat form.
