Overseeing the social media output across all channels for live events company Fane (@faneproductions) and literary festival Words Weekend (@wordsweekend), I led the planning, creating, scheduling, community management and reporting of both organic and paid content.
Working at a senior level within the company, I developed the overall content strategy and tone of voice to grow the following on Fane’s hero channel by 424% in nine months.
Managing the Social Media Executive, I edited copy and supervised community management, reporting and scheduling using Sprout.
I commissioned and oversaw freelance designers, drawing up creative briefs and ensuring all assets adhered to the brand’s visual identity.
Covering live events, I captured footage using a variety of equipment and posted this on a real-time basis. I worked on the launch of Margaret Atwood’s The Testaments, which led to a 119% increase in impressions and a 44% upweight of engagements on Instagram.
From the High Low to Grayson Perry, I regularly filmed the artists Fane represents to promote upcoming tours, produce live q&as with the community and capture behind the scenes footage, which was used across both Fane’s and the artists’ platforms.
Taking the creative lead on all campaigns, I used the Adobe Suite to plan out all content, design assets and edit video material. I implemented paid social media strategy and planned and created ads across all platforms.
Acting as a social media expert for the company, I provided channel-specific consultancy to the artists Fane works with. Liaising directly with talent, I was responsible for upholding strong relationships and providing first-class service.
