- Portuguese Stove for Food Designer Jacopo SarziPortuguese stove, cooking hot pot for food designer Jacopo Sarzi. Part of the exhibition 'Terracotta everyday' shown at Superstudio Più from the collective FID, during the Salone del mobile, Milan - April 2014 This stove, is inspired to the rustic portuguese stove, generally used to roast cured sausages via flaming rubbing alcohol. With Sarzi's variation, is possible to 'flame', yet cook, food live (such as per French traditional 'Crepes Suzettes'). At the centre of the table, fish fillets and vegetables are cooked with the aid of strong aromatic spirits. This 'firing' act, plays a key role to the perfuming of the produce, and makes a theatrical performance of everyday meals. 4 hand thrown pieces , Grogged terra cotta, transparent earthenware glaze at 1140'C.
