About me
Steve Munro is a Canon C300/C500 owner and operator with over a decade of professional experience across feature film, documentary, television production, TVC/commercials, corporate and current affairs. His clients include ABC, BBC, Shine, Southern Star/Endemol, Cordell Jigsaw, Radical Media, Imagination Television, Screentime, Granada Media Australia, Roving Enterprises, San Pellegrino, Nestle, Qantas, Facebook and many more. As well as having work screened on all Australian major TV channels, he has lived and worked extensively in the UK, shot short films in South Africa and screened at the L.A. Comedy Film Festival. He is a full member of the Australian Cinematographers Society for which he has been the NSW state secretary for three years and has also sat on the judging panel for the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA) for the last three years. He holds an international accreditation (H.S.E. UK) for underwater work and has over 100 hours of helicopter camera experience (FLIR and outside). Currently based in Sydney with dual citizenship for Australia and the UK, he is able and willing to travel and work worldwide on any production for any length of time. He has extensive operational experience with most camera systems and formats for digital cinema, documentary and electronic field production (EFP) and the variety of codecs they represent. He is known to be easy to work with on set, has a strong work ethic with high production values and is very flexible.
