About me
I am a freelance writer currently writing a book about Robert Nichols, singer in the post-punk band Shrug and editor of the Middlesbrough FC fanzine and website Fly Me To The Moon for over thirty years.
I contribute music and culture articles, reviews, interviews and features for NARC Magazine, album reviews at God Is In The TV, reviews for Corridor8 visual arts magazine and I have recently had a piece of original creative writing published in Contemporary Lynx magazine which is stocked throughout Europe and North America. I recently interviewed James Arthur for the cover feature of Love Middlesbrough magazine.
I have previously received bursaries from Creative Factory.

Robert is also a keen archaeologist and local historian and has worked for Middlesbrough Council, BBC Tees and Love Middlesbrough
