About me
Over my time as I designer I have worked in small studios, advertising firms and large branding agencies. This mix has seen me work on a load of different projects for a diverse range of clients, spanning a multitude of sectors. I love what I do for work—working with ideas and collaborating with people. I always push these ideas to try and create something that’s functional and has a purpose; weather that be a book, a workshop, a brand strategy, poster, logo, design system or a narrative for art direction. Working as a designer drives me to discover, stay hungry, positive, generous, open and humble.
Projects
  • Art for Grenfell
Art for GrenfellThe vertical lines in the design language symbolise the tower and are used as a graphic device in the wordmark and throughout the design language. This approach allowed for creation of communication pieces in the absence of artists’ work.
  • Most Beautiful Books Australia and New Zeland
Most Beautiful Books Australia and New Zeland I helped create the Most Beautiful Books—Australia and New Zealand award program. This work involved the creation of a new cultural event from the ground up, including event organisation and ensuring strong design integration from its initiation.
  • Independent Photography Festival
Independent Photography Festival The Independent Photography Festival (I.P.F.) is an annual week-long event aimed at celebrating the application, practice and culture of independent photography. One of the core principles of I.P.F. is ‘more photo’, which formed the visual narrative for the campaign.
  • Space
Space Space is a contemporary furniture retailer based across Australia and Asia Pacific. Each year they attend the Milan Furniture Salon to investigate new ideas, trends and products. These trips would usually result in a newsletter, emailed out to clients with a few images of chairs and tables.
  • Going Down Swinging 35

  • Going Down Swinging 33
Going Down Swinging 33 GDS is a yearly literary journal of flash fiction. Holiday designed and collaborated with the GDS team for two issues (33 & 35), each responding to an over arching thematic thread in the issue’s selection of writing.
