Hi I'm Subah. I studied Film at university and have gained various experience from this as well as on projects outside of university. I specialise in editing and producing.
Projects
- Documentary Filmmaker (Wellcome Collection, 2017)I made a documentary during the summer as part of a summer film making scheme at the Wellcome Collection. This documentary explores young people who live in the city to discover nature through camping and learning skills such as making fires, rabbit butchery and creating shelters.
- Almost (2019)Short film. A young hard of hearing girl is caught off guard by a chance meeting with a deaf girl she's never seen before. Their curiosity is sparked instantly and they are both compelled by an eagerness to know more. However, it's not long before complications arise... Almost stars Vilma Jackson, Rose Ayling-Ellis, Rachael Merry and Nadeem Islam. It was written and directed by Teresa Garratty, working with Louis Neething and Flashing Lights Media for BSLBT. I was a runner for a one-day shoot for Call It A Day, a high production web series based in London.
I had direct communication with the show-runner through a walkie talkie and in-person, making sure the scenes go smoothly and on time. I also took care of the cast and crew, through going on lunch runs, making coffee and assisting wherever help was needed.
