Researching colour and trend to develop the overall concept, mood, and styling.
Fabric research and sourcing. Attending textile fairs, liaising with fabric mills, trims suppliers in order to negotiate better deals and surcharges.
Scheduling the design critical path from initial samples to SMS.
Attending fit sessions for men's and womenswear. Sending fit comments and communicating with factories regarding sourcing and approvals.
Concept development of branded trims, labels, and ticketing. Working closely with trims suppliers to develop artwork, sampling, and approvals.
Collaborating with marketing to write press release, develop initial ideas for the look book, and assist behind the scenes at the photoshoot.
Preparing SMS collections for agents/ distributors.
Mentoring and managing design interns.
MADE IN ENGLAND
Design development of the brand's first Made in England range. Sourcing all fabrics, trims, and components for garments both locally and internationally for CMT manufacture.
Working closely with the in-house pattern cutter to help improve fit and product design.

Marketing, Creativity & Innovation: provides a comprehension of the basic concepts of marketing.
Design Management: reviews product branding, trademarks, intellectual property and relevant legislation. The module considers the concept of innovation with regards to the adoption and diffusion. Whilst creating awareness of the impact of globalisation on production and markets.
