LADIES KNITWEAR DESIGN ASSISTANTCOS

Collaborated with Ladies Knitwear designer team to produce COS S/S19 and A/W 20 knitwear collections; frequently supporting with design process, research trends, board presentations, sourcing materials, and any administrative and design tasks. Efficiently used Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign to create technical packs, generate artwork designs and line-sheet collection overviews. Attended garment fit sessions and corrected changes in sketch and fit comment, and followed up with email to senior designers, pattern cutters and buyers to inform them of changes. Performed administrative tasks such as tracking parcels and organized knit swatches archive regularly, to allow for easier access.
• Established innovative and unique knit stitches on various gauges that focused on COS mood boards and high-street market.
• Aided sketch development process by creating 10 knitwear mock-ups from rental garments.

Cut more than 50+ patterns onto calico, poplin, cotton, silk, organza, special fabric, etc. Used heat-press to fuse fabrics and utilized finishing trim techniques on an industrial sewing machine. Regularly sourced and coordinated fabric rolls, trims, threads, and other equipment to ensure inventory is in stock, reporting low stock supplies to sample room coordinator.
• Supported the head designer in producing A/S 19 and S/S 19 fabric design samples.
• Suggested and oversaw the implementation of new sewing techniques which improved company-wide efficiency rates.
• Led a special results-focused team of 3 members to alternate more than 20 garments within tight timeframes and deadlines.
• Provided mockups for the design team by creating patterns and sewing over 6 knitwear and 2 Jersey toiles.
