My name is Sudi Jama, a King's College London graduate in BA Comparative Literature, an ethnomusicologist, culture writer, and graphic designer. I currently hold a role as Music & Nightlife Editor at Nightstand Service.
I hold a passion for exploring the cybernetic intersection of futurism and identity, as well as an explorative approach to the stories that shape/will shape the music industry. My time at Strand Magazine ignited my love for design and writing in the music industry, opening the doors for me to write for publications and produce visual art.
Being research-minded, curation is always at the forefront of my thought in thinking of the big picture. I love Afrofuturism, treating time radically and making space for Blackness in our imaginations of the future. My passion for music and cultural analysis is built on my love for exploring futures, cyber sonic and written landscapes, and expressing culture through its many presents and futures.
My style is vibrant, cerebral, and rooted in cultural conversation. Through both written word and design, what I bring is a boundless eye for colour, word, and arrangement, making curation my strong suit no matter what form it takes.
