About me
Illustrator, whose works encompass illustrated, animated and written content for Children's books, Animation and Graphic novels. Graduate of The One Academy, currently attending the Arts University Bournemouth. As of late, she is venturing into the world of animation. She is also a big fan of whales, silly stories and is ridiculously passionate about the rights of people and animals. Originally from Malaysia, but currently resides in Bournemouth. She writes descriptions in third person like authors do in the backs of their books. Currently looking for UK based internships in Illustration, animation and graphic design for the summer holidays. Open for commissions, particularly book illustration orders and editorials. Generally works with inks and paint, in Photoshop, Indesign, Flash and Illustrator.
Projects
  • Banana Cultured
Banana CulturedBanana: More than just a fruit. Often used to describe an Asian person who is heavily influenced by western culture, thus being regarded as ‘white on the inside’. In this animation, the East/West theme is tackled and cultural confusion is explored, where we will have a peek at what goes on when a ‘Banana’ experiences life and difficulties on both sides, in a light hearted and occasionally comical manner. It’s a look into those who do not fit any set cultural mold and hopefully, it helps dispel
  • Mr. Jellybean
Mr. JellybeanThe story of a panicky jellybean who fears being eaten by humans. And his evil jelly cousin, Miss Sadie the Jelly-Vampire. This was my project for the previous semester, and my first venture into stop motion and animation as a whole. It was pretty fun filming candy carnage, I admit! (Also starring background sweets, Sir Twistiness, Miss Cupcake gummy, Candy-Dandy, Orangeusad, Miss Mellow hello, Mr Lolly Top, Sir Bubbles, Madame Tootsie, Mush-mash, Rocky Nut and many more dearly departed candies.) • Peter Pan Reinterpreted
Peter Pan ReinterpretedA reinterpretation of the age old tale of Peter Pan, in form of children's comics. This project is a mock up of what could be a modern version of Peter Pan, set in today's era, and told using a comic book narrative. Peter is of Korean descent in this retelling, while Wendy is from an Indian family (she was born and raised in London, however). All the change was to refresh and bring something new to the story, given the original had been retold numerous times and none had done a change in ethnicity, and few had altered the time the tale was set in.
