About me
Born in Singapore and raised on white rice. I have a never-ending thirst for knowledge and am willing to dabble in anything at least once. Non-design interests include fluffy cats and giant robots fighting in outer space.
Projects
- JieShiAs a self-initiated project, I decided to work on creating something with my other native language - Mandarin. After some exploration and experimentation, I decided to create a little game meant for non-Mandarin speaking people who want a taste of just how insane this beautiful language is. Being able to stamp the radicals (each "part" of whole), they can then proceed to guess what the meaning of the compound word is with some help from the basic translations of each part.
- Battle for SingaporeAn infographic publication based on the battle of Singapore in World War 2. I chose to create it so that it is read from right to left instead, which allows the layers of information to add up as well as represent the invasion and eventual occupation of Singapore by the Japanese.
- Emotional ReceiptsBased on the collections of receipts I’ve collected over 2.5years in London, I’ve mde this publication dedicated to my parents with infographics of my expenditure. It shows both the qualitative and quantitative information that can be gleaned from simple receipts that are usually thrown away. The publication features a reversible cover to reflect both qualitative and quantitative data, a ruler that shows the exact amount spent in pounds (as all the bars are at the same scale), as well as inserts on every spread that contrasts with the data visualised for each month. Accompanying it is an interactive object proposed to be in my graduation show in London College of Communication. It features a mini thermal receipt printer which doesn’t print standard receipts but instead, collects the responses of people who tweet a specific hashtag with prompt questions related to expenditure.

Work history
Design Intern
-
As a design intern in a multidisciplinary studio, I had the great opportunity to be part of the entire process of a design project - from initial market research and analysis, to brand research, and meeting clients along with working with other freelancers on a single project. I got to work on a variety of work like web design, print design for brochures and invites, and product design.
Account Executive
-
As an account executive in The Student Agency, I work as the link between our clients and designers; briefing the designers and presenting our final work to the clients. Projects include branding *SCAPE’s 2nd year anniversary event and creating an integrated campaign for Singapore Polytechnic’s annual Open House event, among many others.
