My name is Sunil Kim and I am writing to apply for the above a curator at your gallery. Please find attached my CV and recommendation letters.
I would like to further my career in a gallery in the United Kingdom because it would expose me to new experiences and opportunities to understand the field of Art. As well as being an effective communicator in English and Korean, I have accumulated a collector list in my home country, which could be an asset to any business that wishes to expand.
I have always enjoyed working in creative and innovate environments, including the planning and managing of Exhibitions and Art Fairs. I worked in several galleries as a Curator and an Assistant Director in Seoul, South Korea. Recently, I had the chance to work at a French Gallery ‘Art Works Paris Seoul’, where I excelled in the organization of Exhibitions and Art Fairs, having specialized in relationships with collectors, galleries, and business goals.
My university background focused on Art Theory, which consisted of elements of Art History, Art Exhibition Planning, Art Market and Art Education. My Master’s dissertation, entitled ‘A Study on the Management Strategy of Satellite fairs’, analysed the present condition of satellite art fairs that dedicate themselves to the balanced growth of the contemporary art market, as well as their accomplishments and limits of the said art fairs.
